Great sources at NASA

During the reading of our Open Court book, we always enjoy the story about Galileo. I came across a fun interactive site with lots of good information. This is good material that I want to remember for next year, or the next time we learn about space.

Wiggleton and Wenks

I came across a place online that I want to go and check out. It sounds like a great motivator for my high students and low students alike.
I learned about Wiglington and Wenks on a blog I like to read. Here is its address and the following is a quote from the blog. :http://ilearntechnology.com/
"What it is: Wiglington and Wenks is a rich virtual world for kids that I wrote about a few weeks ago here. This virtual world brings together literature, history, and geography into one amazing learning experience for kids. Wiglington and Wenks is a place for students to explore, think, discover, and grow. I can’t say enough about this virtual world as a learning space, I wish every textbook company on the planet would move toward this type of model of presenting content and learning!"

Storyline Online

My favorite find today is a simple storytelling site online. These stories are read by famous actors with some simple photo support. These would be a great way for a student to read along as a story is read, or just to sit back and enjoy a good book.
